Please remember you should always hire a licensed and insured electrical contractor as opposed to a non-licensed person doing work on the side.
Improperly installed electrical wiring can be very dangerous to yourself as well as you home and belongings. An electrical contractor with a current contractors and electrical license ensures that you are getting a person that has detailed knowledge of the current National Electrical code (A manual which sets standards for electrical installations to protect you and your family). We get numerous calls all the time to come and fix work that unlicensed electricians have done. Always ask to see copies of their license and insurance.
